Ankur Bhatt - Professional Actor

Headshots

What are Headshots? A headshot is simply a photograph to promote someone, typically an actor or a model. People starting out in the entertainment industry as models or actors will need to get one pretty much right away.

In the past headshots were taking mainly in black and white. However in the past few years color headshots are now more commonly used. The typical size for a headshot is 8x10 and for actors you usually just attach your resume to the back of it.

Headshots can range from about $200 to $1000. The more expensive the headshot doesn’t always mean the best quality. Find a photographer that is good for you. Most photographers have sample headshots on their websites.

Models and actors also can get Zed-Cards, (also called Comp-Cards similar to headshots) which have usually about four or five different pictures on a 8.5x5.5, 4x6, or 2x3.5 card.
