Actors
An actor
is a theatrical performer or a person who plays a role,
in an artistic production. The term actor usually refers
to someone working in radio, movies, television, and theatre
(organized or not.) Actors typically play dramatic and comedic
roles and acting does encompass singing, dancing, and voice
work (on the radio or Voice-over’s for film and television.)
A female actor is known as an actress, although the word
actor does also refer to an actress as well.
An actor (or actress)
can play real or fictional characters. Many great actors
(both theatre and Movie Actors)
of our time have received high praise for playing both fictional
and real people (from Ben Kinsley playing Gandhi to Anthony
Hopkins playing the fictional Hannibal Lector) From time
to time an actor can play himself as well (the upcoming
film Chad Schmidt with Brad Pitt.
